Why I switched to DTF

When I first heard about DTF, someone described it as "kind of like an iron-on transfer," and I was out. I'd tried iron-ons back in the '90s and they were horrible: dull colors that flaked right off. Vinyl transfers weren't much better for tees. They're great for some jobs, but on a shirt they feel like a sticker and don't hold up. I was 100% team old-school screen printing, because that's what I knew.

Then I put them head to head. For some shirts I designed for my sister, we had one batch screen printed and another done with DTF. After about 20 washes, the screen-printed shirts looked so bad they were unwearable. The DTF shirts still look brand new after 40 to 50 washes.

Your results may vary, but I want something that lasts and that I can stand behind, and I wear it myself. That's why every shirt I make is DTF.
